BEIJING, China, Sep. 3. 2015. China’s V-Day military parade was lead by 45 CFMoto escort motorcycles carrying WWII veterans on Thursday.
A total of 50 formations and more than twelve thousand troops were in Beijing to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the world anti-fascist war.
The V-day parade was attended by 30 national leaders, including Russian president Vladimir Putin, president of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye, Pakistani president Mamnoon Hussain, government representatives from 19 countries and regions, heads of 10 international organizations, 6 former statesmen including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and more than 100 foreign VIPs or relatives of wartime heroes from 15 countries.
The escort motorcycle used were manufactured by CFMoto for the occasion and claimed by MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic China) as “the best domestic motorcycle.”
Some of the features that helped MIIT make the decision to use the bikes for escorting duties are thanks to its liquid-cooled parallel twin cylinder EFI 650CC engine with top speed of 177KM/h, ABS system which is the first of this kind on a pure Chinese big bore motorcycle, and electronically controlled adjustable windshield. The fully equipped audio and video communication system on the vehicle ensures the real time communication between the motorcade and control centre.
The 650TK motorcycle was selected as the official escort motorcycle after first reporting for duty in early 2014. The escort motorcycles have now successfully completed more than 115 escorting trips for visiting leaders and dignitories since then.
