CFMoto Australia is proud to release the new 650MT Adventure Tourer to take on the Australian market.
“We are excited to launch a new breed of CFMoto motorcycle into the market,” said CFMoto Director Michael Poynton. “The 650MT gives Australians an exciting new affordable option in the growing Adventure Tourer market.
Sharing the same successful platform as its naked cousin, the 650NK, CFMoto’s most successful large capacity road bike that has sold over 1500 units within Australia since its introduction in 2012. The 650NK has the winning combination of being the most powerful LAMS bike (at the time) and offering the best bang for your buck. The 650MT is sure to follow in the 650NK’s footsteps with its competitive spec and unbelievable value for money.
The 650MT is the third CFMoto model to be designed by Kiska (the company behind KTM design since 1992) firstly the 150NK economical commuter, then the 400NK/650NK aggressive naked combo and now the 650MT Adventure Tourer. Kiska has created fantastic design for CFMoto with a distinct CFMoto style, aggressive look, sharp lines, modern LED lighting and unique headlight design.
At the 650MT’s heart is a powerful 649.3cc liquid cooled, parallel twin engine, with an 8-valve, DOHC, Bosch EFI system, boasting 41.5KW at 9500rpm and 62NM of torque at 7000rpm (LAMS restricted). The same engine powers the 650NK and has plenty of go, well suited to the 650MT’s intended use to seek adventure.
In the saddle the 650MT has a relaxed upright riding position, a perfect set up for touring or weaving through traffic on the daily commute. A must have on the test ride list for new LAMS riders, commuters and newbies to the Adventure Touring scene.
New USD long travel forks with 140mm wheel travel, to tackle the Aussie countryside both on and off the bitumen. At the rear the MT has 145mm of wheel travel through a cantilever single rear shock providing a plush and responsive feel.
Brake set up is provided by Spanish brake company, J.Juan, equipping the 650MT with an aggressive twin set up at the front including twin dual piston calipers paired with 300mm discs and at the rear a single piston caliper mounted to a 240mm disc giving plenty of braking power. Continental ABS braking system is a must for added safety and comes as a standard feature on the 650MT.
Further touring features include adjustable ride modes from sport to rain make the 650MT more forgiving with gentle power delivery on slippery surfaces, an adjustable windscreen up front to deflect the elements, large 18-litre fuel tank great for touring with a 400km range, LED lighting all round and an easy to read dash with all the essentials, trip meter, clock and handy fuel warning light, just to name a few.
As part of the 650MT launch from now until the 31st of July 2017 you can take advantage of CFMoto’s introductory offer and save yourself $500 dollars off the 650MT ride away price. The introductory offer on the two model configurations are $6,990 ride away for the standard 650MT or $7,490 ride away for the 650MT including the 32 litre Shad pannier kit (as pictured).
“The CFMoto 650MT is being introduced with a price differential between 30-50% over our competitors and you will be hard pressed to find an Adventure Tourer with a similar specification offering the same value,” said Mr Poynton.
The 650MT comes with an unlimited km 2 year factory warranty, serviced by 80+ CFMoto dealers nationwide and is available in two colours blue or white. The CFMoto 650MT is due to hit showroom floors mid-May so get in contact with your local CFMoto dealer today.
