CFMOTO is proud to announce the upcoming arrival of its most advanced and powerful adventure touring motorcycle yet – the all-new MY26 CFMOTO 1000MT X. Unveiled globally at EICMA 2025, the 1000MT X marks a major evolution for the brand, entering the competitive big bore adventure segment with a premium, high-spec machine designed for serious long-distance and off-road exploration.
Arriving in Australia in late May 2026, the 1000MT-X will launch at a competitive $18,990 Ride Away, setting a new benchmark for value in the large-capacity adventure category.
Uncompromising Power and Engineering
At the heart of the 1000MT‑X is CFMOTO’s latest 946.2cc LC8c‑based parallel‑twin engine, marking the first time this next‑generation powerplant has been applied in an adventure‑motorcycle platform. Built on the newest evolution of the LC8c platform, this engine brings genuine next‑generation performance and engineering to the adventure segment, not old tech handed down, but modern design from the ground up.
Producing 111 hp and 105 Nm, the 1000MT‑X delivers strong, flexible performance across open highways, remote backroads and rugged off‑road routes. Crucially, the engine is tuned for real‑world adventure riding, maintaining over 90% of its peak torque between 5,500 and 8,000 rpm, ensuring effortless acceleration, loaded-touring capability, and exceptional drive on steep or technical terrain.
Engine refinement and durability are elevated through the use of premium Japanese componentry, including NTN bearings and an FCC‑manufactured clutch assembly –high‑precision, long‑life components already utilised and proven across many CFMOTO motorcycle platforms. Internally, the engine features ceramic‑coated cylinder bores, forged pistons, and fracture‑split connecting rods – high‑end engineering normally associated with premium European adventure motorcycles. These components reduce friction, enhance thermal stability, and provide superior strength under sustained loads.
Despite its performance, the engine remains remarkably lightweight. Weighing just 56 kg, the all‑alloy case design contributes to the bike’s agile handling and balanced feel, whether navigating tight trails, long‑distance touring or riding fully loaded with luggage. The platform has also undergone over 100,000 km of endurance testing, ensuring it withstands the extremes of Australian adventure riding — from desert heat and heavy dust to coastal humidity, corrugations and long‑range touring demands.

The 1000MT X is equipped with a selection of high-end components expected only on top-tier ADVs:

• Bosch 6-axis IMU enabling cornering ABS, traction control and five adjustable ride modes for maximum control in all conditions.
