LEAKED: NEW 700CC TWIN FROM CFMOTO

09/07/2019

CFMOTO continues to break the mould of ‘Chinese manufacturers’ as it invests heavily in R&D to manufacture larger displacement motorcycles comparable in performance and quality to their Japanese competitors.

A leaked plan of a new CFMOTO 700cc parallel twin shows a completely new chassis, new 700cc engine, new and unique design - distinctly CFMOTO, and due to the model numbering, hints a new 700cc motorcycle range is to be expected.

Further progress has been made on the construction of the new joint CFMoto / KTM motorcycle facility, expected to open next year. The plant will be the birthplace of a number of new larger displacement motorcycles to run under both brands, CFMoto and KTM.

Once the plant is in operation CFMoto will expand its KTM production arrangement to manufacture larger numbers of midsize motorcycles including the recently released 790 Duke and Adventure range both for domestic and export.

V.02 NK Flashback

Back in 2017 the V.02 NK concept bike was released showcasing CFMOTO’s R&D talents and direction on where it plans to take its motorcycle range.

The bike was designed with all the gear, including a 1000cc version of the KTM LC8 V-Twin engine and news is it is now understood that CFMoto has purchased the rights to use the engine in future production models.
