CRAIG NEVE JOINS WK BIKES CFMOTO FACTORY TEAM

07/06/2016

Rising star Craig Neve is set to make his first appearance for the WK Bikes CFMOTO Factory Team in the Bennetts Lightweight TT Race this year, part of the Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy. Neve has two-time TT winner Gary Johnson as a teammate and the pair will ride the WK650i Zebra bikes.

The WK Bikes CFMOTO Factory Team has invested a lot of time and effort to develop a second TT bike as team principal Mike Hinkley explains:

“Craig’s bike has benefitted from the experience and lessons learnt with Gary’s bike. We have already tested Craig’s bike at Cadwell, covering over 100 miles in one test day. I know these bikes are capable and the WK650i can produce competitive speeds so we are optimistic for this year’s race.”

Craig finished 7th in the Manx Grand Prix Newcomers A class in 2014 and followed this up with a fine 5th place finish in the MGP Lightweight class. Commenting on signing Craig, Mike Ninkley said:

“We think Craig is a great addition to the WK Racing team and his passion and determination could see him as a real contender for a top result.”

The WK Bikes CFMOTO Factory team is the first new manufacturer to compete at the IOM TT since 1957. They are the first Chinese manufacturer to come to the island with their bikes being produced by the leading Chinese manufacturer CFMOTO who have a close relationship with the WK Bikes team as their UK importers.

The WK Racing team has raced on the Isle of Man for the last three years and together with their extensive racing background, and some good luck, this year could see them bring home a top result.
